Ajith's 'Asal' to be released in Russian

Ajith’s 'Asal' will be released in Russia on the same day the film is released globally. Russian Union of Cinematography and Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Chennai, have signed an agreement to promote South Indian Films in Russia and 'Asal' will be the first soThe film, in which Ajith essays a double role, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. We have earlier reported that Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a cameo in the film. A few years before, Ajith had performed a cameo in Shah Rukh's 'Ashoka'.
Sameera Reddy and Bhavana play the female leads in 'Asal', directed by Saran. The makers plan to release the film during Diwali.

Abhishek to get Aishwarya's name tattooed?

Bollywood’s male stars seem to have found a definitive way of showing their love to their better half - getting her name tattooed. Saif Ali Khan has Kareena Kapoor’s name inked on his wrist in Devanagri and recently Hrithik Roshan too got wifey Sussane’s name tattooed.

Now, Abhishek Bachchan, the least expected of all, is rumoured to be planning to get Ash’s name tattooed on his wrist. However, Abhi is said to be in a dilemma over the language in which he should get Ash’s name inked. Should it be in English or in Hindi or Devanagri?

Still, Abhi’s decision to tattoo Ash’s name comes as a surprise because he’s not given to public display of affection even after his marriage to Ash. So there is a chance that these rumours of him getting the tattoo might be incorrect.

Till recently, Ash and Abhi were shooting for Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan in South India.

Meanwhile, Ash is presently down with high fever and “flu like symptoms”, as revealed by Amitabh Bachchan on his blog.

“Aishwarya has taken ill and is down with chest infection and flu like symptoms. She had a high fever yesterday, but is settling down today,” Big B posted on his blog on Saturday from Singapore.

Kareena says no to Gurinder Chadha, again

Kareena Kapoor has her roots firmly sunk in India and Bollywood. International fame is not for her. No, thank you. At least not if it’s Gurinder Chadha who wants to launch her in the west.
“Three years ago Gurinder wanted Kareena to act in Bride & Prejudice. Kareena naturally thought it was the lead role. She was shocked when she realised the director wanted her to play Aishwarya's youngest sister,” says a source. “She had turned down the author-backed central role in Deepa Mehta's Water. And here she was being offered the fourth lead. She vowed never to work with Gurinder again.”
So when Gurinder offered Kareena her new film, she immediately said no.
"Who offers a role is not important. What is being offered is important,” says Kareena. “I'm really not that enthused by the idea of going international unless it's something really big.
